Caravan Girls Charity Calendar in Aid of Breast Cancer
Gorse Hill Caravan & Lodge park were honoured to have been invited to take part in the Caravan Girls charity calendar for 2020! The calendar was in aid for Breast Cancer Care for those affected now and in memory of their gorgeous friends Sue Crossland and Jo Dibb.
Breast Cancer Care is a UK charity providing world-class research and life-changing care for people affected by breast cancer.
Several brave ladies stripped off for the calendar in order to the support this important cause. The photographs capture women relaxing on the parks in North Wales where they own holiday caravans and lodges.
"The ages of the volunteers ranged between around 20 and 80, and a number had been affected by breast cancer either personally or through a relative or friend.”
"But their enthusiasm and determination to make a difference through fundraising made the task a huge pleasure – even when it wasn't exactly the warmest weather for posing!"
Collectively the parks were able to raise £22,000! The sum raised came from a combination of 1,000 sales of the £8.50 calendars, sponsorship by holiday parks of each month, donations, and a glittering gala evening at Gorse Hill.
Gorse Hill was the month of November with owner Tracy Thomas-Evelyn staring in the photoshoot and organising the gala evening which raised over £8,000.
The Daily post did a feature on the naked charity calendar, which you can read here.
Well done to all the ladies and caravan parks involved!*
